I guess the most obvious way of thinking of camouflage is thinking of hiding or blending in. The military comes to mind on that thought because their uniforms are often in a camo print.
I also think that people try to camouflage their feelings or even themselves. Obviously not by dressing up in fatigues but by hiding themselves emotionally from the world.
